Blender French Dressing

Into blender container put:
1 cup Ketchup
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup salad oil
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon powdered ginger

Cover and blend on high speed for 20 seconds.
Makes 2 cups.

Maple Granola

Maple Granola
Mix Well:
14 cups large slow oats
2 cups wheat germ
1 cup sunflower seeds
2 cups sesame seeds
2 cups desiccated unsweetened coconut
1 cup dark brown sugar
Add to the above:
¾ cup maple syrup
½ cup of corn oil
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all very thoroughly. Spread thinly in pans, bake at 275 -300 for about 20
minutes or until toasted. Watch for burning.

Maple Barbecued Spareribs


3 pounds spareribs-water
¾ cup pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
cut spareribs into serving size pieces and place in a saucepan.
Add water just to cover ribs. Bring to boiling point, reduce heat, simmer 30 minutes.
Drain. Mix maple syrup, tomato ketchup, vinegar, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt,
mustard, black pepper together in a small bowl. Place spareribs in a shallow baking
pan and pour half the maple sauce over the ribs. Bake 350 oven, 30 minutes until
tender. Turn and baste occasionally with remaining sauce while baking.
Broil 5 minutes to finish browning.
